Work on the Saluda Grade Trail in Landrum is happening soon - mark your calendar for October 16th!
PAL: Play. Advocate. Live Well., SCDOT, and the City of Landrum have been actively coordinating improvements to the intersection of West Rutherford Street and North Howard Avenue, Highway 176 and Highway 14, in Landrum.

We know this is a crucial crossing for the trail and important to the residents of the City of Landrum based on feedback we heard at our August community meeting. This is a huge opportunity to work together in tandem with our partners to accomplish more than one goal at the same time.
Crews will be actively removing steel rail lines and ties from the intersection on Friday, October 16th. The road will be closed as the asphalt is taken up and the rails and ties are taken out. A temporary surface will be placed in the road following the removal of these materials to prepare for SCDOT to come in and pave as part of their Highway 176 project.
Please make alternate travel plans to avoid this intersection on Friday, October 16th.
Thanks for your patience with us as we work to make the best use of our resources together!
