August Session: What to Expect

August 17th 2026

Event Information

  • Tuesday, August 18, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Drop in any time
  • Location: Landrum Farmers Market, Landrum, SC

Project leaders from PAL and Conserving Carolina are looking forward to hosting the Saluda Grade Trail’s public information session this week at the Landrum Farmers Market. This is your chance to see the first designs for the trail, talk with the people drawing them, and tell us what matters to you.

Following our recent update, we want to share more about what the evening will look like.

See the First Five Miles

The design team will have plans on display for the first five miles of trail, from the North Carolina state line down to Landrum. These drawings are 60 percent complete, which means the big decisions are visible, but there is still room to adjust. Come take a close look at:

  • Where the trail runs and how it fits within the corridor
  • Potential trailhead locations
  • Trail widths and access points
  • An opportunities map showing what the corridor could connect

Talk with the People Behind the Plans

There is no formal presentation and no agenda to sit through. Representatives will be stationed around the market with visuals, ready to answer questions. You can expect to find:

  • SeamonWhiteside: engineers and designers who can walk you through the drawings and the choices behind them.
  • Conserving Carolina and PAL: staff who can tell you where funding stands, what comes next, and how the two states are progressing.

Come When You Can

The evening runs from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and you are welcome any time in that window. Stay for five minutes or the whole two hours. Bring your questions, bring your neighbors, and bring the things you have been wondering about since April.

We hope to see you at the market!
